Clíodhna Malone Appointed Gaisce Development Officer for Wexford, Carlow and Kilkenny
Gaisce – The President’s Award is delighted to welcome Clíodhna Malone as the new Development Officer for Wexford, Carlow and Kilkenny. Clíodhna takes over from Paul Darby, who is currently on a career break. Prior to joining Gaisce, Clíodhna worked in community pharmacy for 9+ years in many roles, while also working in various education setting; previously working with GOAL Global as a GCE facilitator. She also worked in the International Development department in Maynooth University; as a lecturer on the Media, Advocacy and Development Module for 3 years and a tutor on the Introduction to Development Module for 2

An Post Marks Gaisce’s 40th Anniversary with Special Postmark
Gaisce – The President’s Award is proud to partner with An Post, to celebrate 40 years of the President’s Award with a special commemorative postmark. From May 15th to May 25th, the Gaisce 40 postmark will appear on everyone in all standard letters processed by An Post. Gaisce has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with An Post. Previously, An Post marked our 25th anniversary with a special postage stamp and also collaborated with us on the Bulbs for Bees challenge in 2021. Gaisce Youth Ambassadors Visit the European Parliament
March was an exciting month for the Gaisce Youth Ambassador Panel, with the group getting the opportunity to travel to Brussels from Tuesday, April 21st, to Thursday, April 24th, for an exciting visit to the European Parliament. We were thrilled to be hosted by MEP Maria Walsh, who met with the panel to hear their views on the issues affecting young people in Ireland today and gave the ambassadors a tour of the parliament, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness democracy in action in the heart of our European democracy.
