Connection, Community and Celebrations: Gaisce’s Participant Survey and Annual Report 2025 shed light onto Gaisce’s lasting impact for Young People!
From feeling connected to your communities and fostering a sense of purpose, to building confidence, lifelong skills, and encouraging involvement in physical activity, Gaisce participants have shown just how impactful the Award is for young people.
Gaisce’s first ever participant survey, provides fantastic insights into the Award’s positive effect on young people, including:
❤️90% of Gaisce Awardees feel more connected to their communities on completion of the Award, with 89% reporting that the Award programme “gave them a sense of purpose”.
💼Participants also felt that achieving their Award made them more confident (80%) and supported them in developing lifelong skills (90%), with half of respondents saying they expect to use skills developed through Gaisce to support their future careers.
⚽Nine in ten participants also said the Award encouraged them to be more active, and 87% saying it motivated them to stay involved in sport or physical activity.
Believing in young people and what they can do is at the core of Gaisce’s ethos, and as we continue to develop new and exciting opportunities for participants, we hope to build on the merit and value of the Gaisce Award for building young people up for their futures!

From commemorating our 40th anniversary and running our flagship Be The Arrow Campaign to welcoming President Catherine Connolly to her first Gaisce Gold Award ceremony, 2025 was filled with celebrations, achievements, and memorable moments!
🏆In 2025, we celebrated the highest registrations and completions in our history in 2025 and experienced significant growth in access to the Gaisce Award.
