Gaisce – The President’s Award is celebrating Lá Gaisce with our Challenge Partner parkrun this October bank holiday weekend (Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October) with a special Gaisce parkrun Challenge Weekend. We’re encouraging any Gaisce participant who is volunteering at parkrun as part of their Community Involvement challenge, or anyone who is participating in parkrun as part of their Physical Recreation challenge, to go out to your local parkrun to celebrate Lá Gaisce. Avril Ryan Appointed CEO of Gaisce – The President’s Award
Gaisce – Gradam an Uachtaráin – The President’s Award, Ireland's national non-formal education youth award, has announced the appointment of Avril Ryan as the new Chief Executive Officer for the organisation. Avril joined Gaisce in 2017 as Operations and Development Manager before taking on the role of Head of Operations and Development in 2020. European Parliament Competition Winners – Terence MacSwiney Community College
Video Submission Gaisce, in partnership with the European Parliament Liaison Office in Ireland is delighted to announce that Terence MacSwiney Community College in Knocknaheeney in Cork were the deserving winners of the trip to Strasbourg for Euroscola, which will take place on March 30th. Euroscola brings together 16–18-year-old students from all 27 EU Member States and allows them to get together, debate, take sides, negotiate, amend, vote and finally adopt resolutions on real European issues.
