About

Irish Sailing is the National Governing Body for sailing, windsurfing, wingfoiling and powerboating in Ireland. They support a nationwide network of affiliated clubs and accredited Training Centres, providing training, education and development programmes that enable people of all ages and abilities to participate safely, confidently and enjoyably on the water.

Personal Skill:
Irish Sailing operates nationally across the island of Ireland through a network of over 100 affiliated clubs and accredited Training Centres. Gaisce participants can access opportunities in coastal and inland locations nationwide, making the programme accessible to young people in communities throughout the country.

Programme Breakdown

Opportunities are available for beginners through to experienced participants, with pathways in sailing, powerboating, volunteering and leadership. Irish Sailing enables young people to develop practical sailing and boating skills while building confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership. Through regular participation at an accredited Irish Sailing club or Training Centre, participants can progress at their own pace, contribute as volunteers and become active members of Ireland's sailing community.
