We have an exciting opportunity for young people to get involved in shaping the future of LGBTI+ inclusion in Ireland!
The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth is looking for young people to participate in the National LGBTI+ Inclusion Strategy Consultation. This consultation is part of an independent review of the LGBTI+ Inclusion Strategy 2019-2021, and it`s a chance for you to share your voice on issues that affect young people today.
Gaisce can submit three nominations for this important consultation. If you`re interested, check the form description for further information, as you will be required to attend an online briefing session and in-person consultation day.

We are thrilled to share that Gaisce Participants taking on this year`s Gaisce @irishdefenceforces Challenge were featured in a double-page spread in @irishtimesnews last weekend! 😄
A group of 30 young people from all over Ireland embarked on a rigorous survival skills challenge, where they mastered life-saving strategies such as using nature to conceal and camouflage, and lighting fires in the wild. Guided by experienced Defence Forces personnel, they toughed it out in the wilderness in pursuit of their Silver and Bronze Awards. 🙌

From 2019 to 2023, we ran an impactful integration project called Wavelength. This initiative was designed to reduce barriers and increase access to the Gaisce programme for young people seeking asylum or having refugee status.
Through Wavelength, many young people discovered new skills, made meaningful connections, and gained the confidence to contribute positively to their communities. 🙌

The event was for our President’s Award Leaders and occurred during BelongTo’s Stand Up Awareness Week. It aimed to support PALs in creating a culture of allyship and inclusion for LGBTQ+ Gaisce Participants. 😊
We have an incredibly diverse community at Gaisce; from our active Gaisce Participants, all our Gaisce Awardees, President’s Award Leaders and the Gaisce team. Together, let’s strive to champion diversity and inclusion every day. 🙌
