Challenge Area Activities
Personal Skill:Gaisce participants can take part in Choose Tech to increase their digital skills and tech knowledge.
Programme Breakdown
Gaisce participants can use the FIT Choose Tech programme to earn Bronze & Silver awards by achieving points on completion of the badges by completing 1 hour per week of online learning or theory.
The badges are split between five different learning categories – Worker, Maker, Citizen, Entrepreneur and Gamer. Participants can work independently to complete badges across the different learning categories or link them to curriculum. Badge topics can also be used for discussion points or project work in class.
On completion of the programme, Gaisce participants can present a Record of Achievement showcasing all the modules completed. Choose Tech is accessible on all devices – phone, tablet, iPad and PC.
A PAL can track all the work being completed by a Gaisce candidate or class by setting up a group called GAISCE in the back office. The GAISCE group will be allocated a unique code for participants to use when completing Choose Tech as part of the Gaisce Challenge. This will link all their work to that group. The Choose Tech team can help you get set up and assist with programme guidance.
