Programme Breakdown
Sanctuary Runners is a solidarity through sport initiative, supporting community integration for migrants, particularly International Protection Applicants and refugees through running, walking and jogging.
They have 40 groups round the country where locals and new arrivals meet to run/ walk/ jog together, should to shoulder, it offers and informal community space for connections to be made and a welcome to be shown to those new to Ireland. All while getting fitter, promoting mental and physical wellbeing and enjoying the outdoors.
