Fighting Words provides free programmes and mentoring in creative writing and related arts to as many children, young adults and adults with additional needs as they can reach.

Programme Breakdown
Workshops run during the academic school year; September to June.
Fighting Words provides free creative writing workshops for primary and secondary school students at their centres. Gaisce Participants can facilitate creative writing workshops as mentors for Community Involvement. Mentors can choose the days and times that they volunteer, which allows them to complete their hours on a schedule that suits them. Training is provided.
Gaisce Participants can participate in creative writing workshops to improve their writing skills. They can also join Write Club, which is a weekly session in person at Rewrite's centre in Dublin or a bi-monthly online session. Either of these options fulfils the Personal Skill Challenge Area.
